Bespoke Wearable Costume Prop Fabrication for Tesco F&F’s “Fashion Now Does Homeware”

MACHINESHOP engineered and fabricated a highly specialized collection of custom interactive costume props for the “Fashion Now Does Homeware” campaign for Tesco F&F. Developed alongside leading creative forces to promote the supermarket’s home goods collection, this avant-garde campaign seamlessly merges structural model making with high-fashion wardrobe engineering.

Our workshop brought this unique conceptual brief to life by building three distinct wearable costumes made entirely out of genuine homeware items for the shoot:

  • Bespoke Cutlery Dress: An intricate, structured metallic garment meticulously hand-wired with polished knives, forks, and spoons configured into a shimmering, reflective armour plate structure.
  • Bespoke Plate Dress: A heavy-duty, reinforced wearable armature sculpted with ceramic dining plates stacked into layered, overlapping tiers designed to withstand motion control tracking camera movements.
  • Bespoke Cushion Coat: A high-volume, structural textile garment engineered by stitching together plush household soft furnishings to create a grand, padded geometric silhouette on camera.
