Behind the scenes
MACHINESHOP designed, engineered, and executed the high-impact practical pyrotechnic flame effects for the hard-hitting climate campaign film “Beep” by Make My Money Matter. Built to demand accountability over corporate pension investments, the visually arresting film uses real combustion elements to drive home its urgent environmental message.
Our specialized special effects crew worked closely with the creative department on location, rigging and managing precise mechanical gas fuel lines to safely deliver intense, dramatic fire elements on cue.
Advanced Pyrotechnic Gas Rigging & Controlled Fire Effects
Executing safe, high-volume fire effects for commercial film sets requires strict pressure monitoring, professional manifold valving, and direct coordination with the stunt and safety coordinators:
- Bespoke Flame FX Rigging: Deploying modular components from our gas fire hire catalogue to position controlled, predictable bursts of flame precisely within the camera framing.
- Millisecond-Precise Firing Sequences: Programming specialized electronic trigger modules to instantly activate or extinguish the high-temperature flame cues on a live director’s command.
- Rigid On-Set Location Safety Protocols: Setting up secure, certified fuel lines managed by our certified SFX technicians to fully protect the cast, crew, and filming environment.
- Consistent Visual Output: Calibrating gas volume and flow metrics to deliver perfectly identical practical fire cues across multiple takes, accelerating production pacing.
