MACHINESHOP fabricated a highly complex, custom mechanical staging rig for the global Dove Body Scrub campaign titled "#ItsGiving". For this visually luxurious skincare commercial, our workshop developed a completely bespoke 3-layer counter-rotating turntable to deliver mesmerizing, synchronized physical movement during high-speed macro product shots.

The embedded commercial and behind-the-scenes engineering videos showcase how this unique multi-tiered mechanical rig allows multiple product elements to spin smoothly in opposing directions, creating an intricate visual texture that elevates the commercial’s choreography.

Capturing fluid, complex rotational movement for high-speed macro beauty cinematography requires absolute mechanical precision, vibration-free bearings, and independent motor speed calibration:

• Bespoke 3-Layer Counter-Rotating Design: Custom-engineering three distinct, concentric staging platforms built to simultaneously spin in alternate, opposite directions.
• Independent Electronic Speed Control: Integrating advanced automated drive systems that allow special effects operators to finely tune or fluctuate the rotation speed of each individual layer on cue.
