The Escapist is the acclaimed new film by director Rupert Wyatt, starring Brian Cox, Joseph Fiennes and Damian Lewis. Machine Shop provided special effects for the film’s London unit.

Samsung illusions

Machine Shop recently finished a very successful viral for Samsung, care of The Viral Factory. The viral features an ambitious demonstration of ten optical illusions within two minutes. All the optical illusions were physically developed by Machine Shop in-house from paper- concepts created by the production company. The final result was over a million hits online within a week! It was this success that prompted The Viral Factory to take one of the illusions on tour.

Machine Shop has recently invested in a NextEngine 3D scanner. The NextEngine is the first of many new gadgets Machine Shop are set to purchase as part of their future proofing and expansion programme. The NextEngine will allow Machine Shop to produce replica models of real-life objects quickly, easily and most importantly - accurately.
