London Transport
Museum
Machine Shop worked
on three exhibits for the London transport museum; a model peloton
of commuter cycles ridden by invisible riders, a working
replica of a 1930’s traffic light
and a working Belisha beacon. The traffic light and Belisha beacon were
cunningly scaled from black and white photos of the era as
there were no original plans available to aid the design process.
Machine Shop got involved in the London Transport Museum Project
towards the end of the schedule which meant that we had to turn
the work around quickly in order to accommodate the
rapidly approaching opening date of the museum.
